Acceptance

How do we accept people for who they are?  We look at our own faults...

Romans 15:5-7
Now may the God who gives perseverance and encouragement grant you to be of the same mind with one another according to Christ Jesus, so that with one accord you may with one voice glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, accept one another, just as Christ also accepted us to the glory of God.

Luke 6:42
"Or how can you say to your brother, 'Brother, let me take out the speck that is in your eye,' when you yourself do not see the log that is in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take out the speck that is in your brother's eye.

1 Samuel 16:7
But the LORD said to Samuel, "Do not look at his appearance or at the height of his stature, because I have rejected him; for God sees not as man sees, for man looks at the outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart."

Matthew 10:40
"He who receives you receives Me, and he who receives Me receives Him who sent Me.

Having God's Eye

I feel the pain and hurt of others
Some people are able to block it out
And worse turn away as if it doesn't exist
But it hurts me deep in my soul
knowing a child somewhere is being made hard
A little heart turned to stone cold ice
Because others are selfish and evil
A heart that may never warm
that may grow into the person
that hurt them once before

A belly full
Fully aware that a child hungry
Is eating crumbs from the floor somewhere

A heart full
Fully aware that a child cries
From the scares hidden deep down inside

A soul full
Fully aware that a child needs God
hope, support, love, and unconditional care

Imagine a world in which every person
Nurtured that responsibility
No darkness for children
Life is full of that on its own as an adult

Imagine a world in which it was all clear
That instead of being upside down
It was upside right
That no one had a blind eye
That no one blocked out
The truth of this life

Ephesians 5:7-14
7 Therefore do not be partners with them.
8 For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Live as children of light 9 (for the fruit of the light consists in all goodness, righteousness and truth) 10 and find out what pleases the Lord. 11 Have nothing to do with the fruitless deeds of darkness, but rather expose them. 12 It is shameful even to mention what the disobedient do in secret. 13 But everything exposed by the light becomes visible—and everything that is illuminated becomes a light. 14 This is why it is said:

“Wake up, sleeper,
    rise from the dead,
and Christ will shine on you.”

It Is Really All About Love

I fight daily with what it means to be a good Christian Woman
Having faith that God will light my path for the journey I am to take
That he will bring people into my life who will encourage and help empower me
That he will give me the wisdom to eliminate people in my life who will lead me from that path or slow me from my journey.
That I will remember I am from God and nothing is more beautiful than His love for me.
That no Father wants anything more for his child than faith, hope, and love.
That being from God means loving myself without reservation
Treating others as I would like to be treated
Passing no judgment, because at any moment a situation can change
Thinking positive, because how we think is manifested in our behaviors
Striving for perfection, but falling short due to our human nature
He gave His Son to death, so we might be saved
Therefore, forgiving ourselves and others for imperfections.....

Luke 18:19
And Jesus said to him, “Why do you call me good? No one is good except God alone.
